Artist History
Music fans who have had the opportunity to see and hear Eric Brittain are thoroughly impressed with his versatility and talent as a singer and musician. Best known perhaps as an astonishing fiddler, Brittain is equally adept on the mandolin, Dobro and guitar. In his position as stage manager at the world-renowned restaurant and nightclub, "The Last Stage West" for the past 5 years, Brittain has had the unique opportunity to display his talents. While performing his act, "Eric Brittain and Company," at the club, many world-class musicians have enjoyed sitting in with him, sharing a variety of musical styles, anywhere from country, cajun and bluegrass to swing, blues, jazz, and rock.Since the release of his second solo album, Brittain has been living up to its title and "Branching Out" even more. With the restaurant firmly established and top-notch talent available to fill in for him, Brittain can spend more time in the recording studio and working with other groups, including his own. Now you can catch him performing his own material as Eric Brittain and Company, bluegrass with Wild Sage or "joop" with Rabid Fiddlers. Occasionally Brittain teams up with Louie Ortega and the Wild Juans for some Tex-Mex rhythm and blues.Eric has performed on stage with Bonnie Raitt, David Raitt, Kate Wolf, Laurie Lewis, Tommy Tutone, It's a Beautiful Day, Tiny Moore, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, and many others. |
