Earthman Lanny Smith & The Planet Earth Project (PEP) is a gathering of some of South Florida's finest multi-cultural musicians committed to using the power of music to protect the environment. Underwritten by grants in parnership with Miami-Dade County and other organizations, Earthman/PEP have touched more that 2,000,000 South Florida residents and tourists with their innovative jazz, R&B, World Music, Blues, theatrical concerts. Their original music is recorded in four language and has been played on a cross section of South Florida's radio station, from Urban English to Spanish, from Creole to Jazz. Their powerful music with a message is even played on Radio Disney (Miami). They have produced music video PSA's in four languages that have appeared on the local Warner Brothers Station. Artist History
The Planet Earth Project began in 1995 featured at the Miami 25th Anniversary of Earth Day event. Since then Earthman Lanny Smith & The Planet Earth Project have played at more that 200 major festivals and communty events with their adults concerts. They have also performed their powerful Earthman children's concerts at more that 400 elementary schools.They are the main music outreach of a non-profit organization called The Earthman Project. Their mission is to use music and the arts to teach adults and children that each of us has the power to make a difference in our world. |
