    Artist History
We are four guys from the James River who want to bring the rock back to Richmond, Virginia. Inertia started with Doug Clark on lead guitar, Todd Wellons on drums and a few other guys. They messed around awhile, made a few songs, but nothing substantial. The other guys decided they weren't commited to the craft, so they bailed and Tom Callahan came in on bass and vocal duties, fresh out of another local band. Then the band, known as New Horizons at that time, put out their first tape via a small tape deck at Todd's house in the summer of '99. Discovering he could play guitar a little bit after the first release, Tom became rhythm guitarist for the group, and the band remained a 3 piece with no bassist for awhile. After a few parties, another recording and a Battle of the bands, the group decided to get a bassist. There was a multitude of tryouts, and the band was a revolving door for bass players for awhile. Then they stumbled upon Matt Meadows, who was also good at guitar, and things clicked, and the band became a 4 piece. Sadly, things did not work out with Matt, and he left the band. Sean Clatterbuck, a good friend of the band offered his services to the band, and Inertia graciously accepted, and Sean became the new bass player. Now with some emo influence, Inertia is writing news songs and hopes to record an album in the near future. Stayed tuned,Inertia is sure to break out some time in 2001...
