Artist History
Damien's first demo tape earned him an investment deal and took him to New York City where he recorded and launched his first independent CD of underground house and spoken word. In order to promote these singles he made guest appearances at College Radio shows and performed across the Tri-State area at such renowned nightclubs as Webster Hall main stage, Irving Plaza, The China Club, Avalon, and Tuxedo Junction. Yet a freshman effort, his CD was placed into heavy rotation on the College Radio charts and scored a top ten and top twenty hit on the CMJ charts. Damien was named by the New England Performer Magazine as one of "The Best Pop Acts" out of Boston along side such artists as Aerosmith and Aimee Mann. The remix of his song "Falling" was commonplace in DJ pools and New York City clubs, including Limelight and Tunnel.
In time, Damien's interests led him away from the underground and dance genres and producer-driven projects, and he took a hiatus to focus on his songwriting.1998 spawned his band, Vertigo Blind. They performed live in downtown Village clubs such as C.B.G.B.'s, Luna Lounge, Don Hill's, and The Elbow Room. Though more comfortably seated in the pop/rock genre, and the excitement of performing, he still felt that something was missing from his music. Consequently, Vertigo Blind disbanded in the late summer of 1999. Damien began writing and developing new material. He returned to the studio with a fresh new approach, a hybrid of pop/rock and psychedelic with electronic textures.
In the Fall of 1999 he released "Pomme sur le lune"(French translation: Apple on the moon) A 5 song CD which gained him major label interest and courting. In 2000, he formed, Damien and the Echo Boomers a vessel for his current songwriting vision, and has been played New York City venues throughout 2001. In 2002 Damien completed his first full length CD "Love Drive- By" That was released independently this fall. He reworked his Band The Echo Boomers and is slated to begin hitting NYC venues early 2003. Meanwhile Damien plans 3 songs "I Awake", "Fold" and following up with "Down to Nothing" to be released for airplay in Australia and extending to over 1,200 radio stations across Europe.
His future goals remains unchanged: to write, record, perform, and continue to focus and challenge himself as an artist.

Hey Damien!
We recieved your submission and it sounds great! Excellent job man! We are liking tracks #1, #8, #12, #13.. We usually recieve about 50 submissions per day and not everyone makes the playlist. It will be a week or so with processing from the program director then you're on the air! Make sure you get all your friends, family, and fans to vote for you at the station. That keeps you in rotation, as in 'all' radio stations.. We have been on air for 6 years and are one of the most respected shows on the net with 3.5 million listeners weekly! Make sure to log on every Saturday night at 6:00pm...

Hello Damien, Thanks for sending your CD etc,
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you - I've received so many demos that it's took a long time to get through them. I listened to your CD and must say I was well impressed. Anyway I would love to feature you on the site and would like to feature "I awake" - a great number!!! As you might know, Elevation Station is a non-profit making organisation with all copyright remaining your own. Please confirm that it is OK to use the number.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Regards,
Pat.

Hi Damien,
I just wanted to let you know that we received your Love Drive By CD. Thanks for sending that. I perused the CD and got a peek at the articulation in there. (I'm a songwriter and I enjoy more intelligent lyric.) Your CD is now going over to our screeners and panelists for possible selection of song (s) for our Great Songs Chart. We now highlight songs from about 25 independent songwriters/artists each issue. Once songs are chosen for our charts then the CD would also qualify for review in The Creative Line.
Thanks again for your CD and your response.
Best Wishes,
Glenn Horton

Hi Damien!
I'm writing personally to all our artists on The
Songwriters Network playlist who have gotten votes.
I feel 'you' belong on this show. If there is 'any' show to get your music in rotation
on, it's this! I normally don't write personally to
artists but I feel your music is strong enough! Don't
worry about votes either. This is an interactive game
with listeners, you'll get plenty..
Seriously hope to see you in rotation Damien!
All The Best
Patty
