Artist History
Back in ?57 my mother, father, myself and some friends in our circle has a streetcorner doowop group. We didn?t have a piano or organ or any instruments but we had that harmony down pat and if you listened to us you?d swear you were listening to a quartet of angels singing in perfect harmony. We had it GOING ON! Then I put the street stuff down after a few years because I was busy with school. After I was done with school I picked it up again. It was an on again, off again thing. But then in 1983 I started again and have been going at it since. When I was living on Wilson Avenue I was just singing with a cup. I didn?t have a keyboard. I was singing on Wilson by the train station at Wilson and Broadway. As time went on I started living with Lucky Lopez and we started going downtown to perform, making bigger and better money. Lucky and I split up but I continued street musician working downtown. These days you can find me in the tunnel between the Red line and the Blue line near Washington and State. [Just off the City Hall / Daily Center tunnel] |
