Artist History In late 1995, Arpan Shah picked up his first guitar and started to write songs almost immediately. Arpan needed a name so he chose Abreaction which is a psychological term meaning a release or purging of emotional tensions. Given the music that was written, the name seemed perfect. Continuing as a solo act, there have been two CDs recorded and a third one on the way. Sadness is the perfect instrument for writing music and music is a way of life.
