Artist description
Unified Tribe is an inspired collection of individuals, united through one multidimensional sound that lives to express a common goal. All of the members come from varying musical backgrounds and bring their own distinctive influences to the group. The result is an extremely eclectic sound that has evolved over the years from its predominately Jazz and R&B roots, toward a cross market Pop genre. The 13 musicians that are Unified Tribe, vary in age and ethnicity, and their philosophy reflects the harmony that is found within diversity.
Unified Tribe has a striking live show that is as diverse as it's performers. They are eclectic sound that you can see. They move about the stage as a flow of electricity that captivates and entertains all in their presence, performing original material both off their released albums and some never before captured in recording.

Artist History
Unified Tribe began in 1982, when Magic (the founder of the group), Starr, Harmony and Kal-El left New York for California in pursuit of their musical career. Falcon joined the group in 1983, Merrily and Meriah in 1991, Zen and Seth in 1997, Liberty, Kara and Hammer in 1999, and most recently Larry Seyer and DLS in 2002. All of the members come from varying musical backgrounds and bring their own distinctive influences to the group. This creates an extremely eclectic sound that has evolved over the years from it's predominately Jazz and R&B roots toward a cross market Pop genre. The 15 musicians that are Unified Tribe, vary in age and ethnicity, and their philosophy reflects the harmony that is found within diversity.
Throughout the 90's Unified Tribe's production company, Magic Muzik Productions, Inc. recorded, produced, performed and wrote for recording artists like The Whispers, Russ Freeman & The Rippingtons, Phil Perry and many others, from their Southern California based Magic Muzik Studios. As the 90's came to a close the emotional and artistic need arose for Unified Tribe to record their own music. The group withdrew to the cozy mountain town of Woodland Park, CO where they began recording their debut album "Listen To This" and independently released the regionally acclaimed maxi single "Swept Away". Unified Tribe later relocated to Austin, TX where they completed and independently released "Listen To This" on their record label IAM (Independent Artists Movement) in the spring of 2001. This full length CD includes 20 tracks and combines the orchestrations of Burt Bacharach with the funk of Parlament. The result is a rich mixture of Pop, R&B, and Jazz that features powerful vocal harmonies, stunning instrumentation and uplifting rhythms. Portions of the proceeds from "Listen To This" are being donated to charitable causes.
