Artist description Shabbat was birthed when Michoel wrote a song entitled Ad'nai for worship, after presenting the lyrics to an acoustic guitarist and had no music put to it. He then showed Pope the lyrics and a few days later the lyrics were put to Heavy Metal Music with growling vocals. As Pope and Michoel were driving around Pope was playing Michoel his solo material from Eden in Ruins, then he played the lyrics Michoel wrote placed with hard hitting and agressive music. Michoel looked at Pope with wide eyes and asked if he would help him do an album with the Sacred Names. In January of 2000 Shabbat was born and several songs were written: In Him we live, Don't Profane the Name, Awakening of the Beast, The L-rd is one, Origin, The Seventh Day (This one is on MP3.com) Ad'nai, Live within His Torah, Worship in His Temple, and Salvation Song. Shabbat is preparing to enter into the Studio soon to release the Sacred Ways CD. Shabbat is not a Band that tours or plays live shows at present time, Shabbat is a project both Michoel and Pope enjoy doing and putting together. Pope is involved with his solo project Eden in Ruins and Michoel is teaching in a Cyber Shul (Shalom Moshiach) on Sabbaths concerning the Torah and Salvation in Yahoshuah. If Shabbat is popular enough Michoel plans on recording a second CD with Pope, but for now the Sacred Ways CD will be released by July 2001.
