    Artist description
Each member of Seeing Red brings different influences to the table, adding to the multidimensionality of their music. Rob Demisch is a music major with a concentration in composition at Wesleyan University. His skills as a composer assure that the musical resources of the band are used to full effect, and his searing lead guitar playing is reminiscent of neoclassical metal guitarists like the late Randy Rhodes. Bill O'Fallon is a lifetime Metallica fan; the influences of Cliff Burton and Jason Newsted are clear. His penchant for locking in with the drums and independent melodic basslines give the music the extra depth and tight low end it deserves. Jon Donnelly is a fan of all things creepy, bringing the dark poetry of the Doors and Type O Negative to the band. His lyrics and vocal style are also strongly influenced by Life of Agony, and his voice has the range and versatility that fits the diversity and style of the music. Dave Hofbauer's biggest influence is Matt Cameron of Soundgarden. His prior experience drumming for hard rock and alternative bands brings a different feel to the band's songs, setting them apart from bands weaned on classic metal. Mike Bowman, a music major at SUNY Rockland, counts everyone from the Beatles to Pantera among his influences. Mike's keen sense of guitar and vocal harmony give the band the dual-guitar, dual-vocal complexity that differentiates Seeing Red from the average metal band.

    Artist History
WELCOME. Seeing Red was born in Northern New Jersey. Longtime friends Rob Demisch, Bill O'Fallon, and Jon Donnelly had played together in previous bands, but somehow had never realized their full musical potential. The band finally started to gel when drummer Dave Hofbauer came on board. The addition of guitarist Mike Bowman cemented the band's lineup, and the Seeing Red sound was born. The band's eponymous twelve-song debut album is currently available for $8 at http://www.cdbaby.com/seeingred and http://seeingred.risingmusic.com. Seeing Red songs can be heard online at http://www.mp3.com/seeingred and the Seeing Red homepage, http://seeingredmusic.com. Seeing Red is currently recording their second full-length album, scheduled for release in January, 2003. The album, produced by Mike Bowman and Rob Demisch, will feature hit songs like "Believe" and "Forgotten" that have already become staples of the band's live set. Get up and unite. Your lives begin tonight.

    Press Reviews
Song reviews on Garageband.com (http://www.garageband.com) have called Seeing Red everything from "the second coming of Megadeth" to "Alice Cooper meets Metallica meets Carcass meets Marilyn Manson." But with their varied textures and influences, Seeing Red defies comparison to any of these bands. Make no mistake about it - Seeing Red is REAL metal.
