Artist History
Argentine violinist Rafael Gíntoli is a graduate from the municipal Conservatory of Music of Buenos Aires. He was awarded the 1968 Municipal Prize (Buenos Aires) and, in 1972 he was the recipient of a scholarship from the Mozarteum of Argentina and the Ministery of Sciences and Education of The Hague to study in Holland.He has been performing as a soloist since the age of 16 with the most important Argentine, South American and European orchestras, such as Sao Paulo Symphony orchestra (Brazil), Ensemble das Neue Werk of Hamburg (Germany), Radio and Televísion of Cracow, Camerata Bariloche (Argentina), Ferrara Chamber Orchestra, Teatro Massimo of Palermo, Teatro La Fenice of Venice, Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, I Giovani Cameristi of Rome (Italy), Colón Theatre of Buenos Aires (Argentina), National Symphony Orchestra of Reykjavik (Iceland), Philharmonic Orchestra of Bremen (Germany). He also performed at renowned Italian Festivals such as Fermo, Pisa, Lecce, Udine, Salerno among many others.He realized various tournées as soloist as weil as forming the Trío Buenos Aires in U.S.A.: New Orleans, Washington (Kennedy Center), Los Angeles, New York, and in Europe: Amberes, Sophie, Kiev, Paris, Milano and Rome.He made recordings for the RAI (Italian Radio and Television), Radio Berne, Radio Maastricht (Holland), TV Globo Brazil.Mtro. Rafael Gíntoli was appointed orchestra leader at the Teatro Massimo of Palermo, Teatro La Fenice of Venice., Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Sinfonietta Roma,He gave master classes for the Philharmonic Association of Trento, Association of Young Chamber Players of Rome, Zumaia and Internationai Festival of Bilbao.He taught violin and chamber music at the Universities of Córdoba and La Plata (Argentina).He has been invited to perform by the Philharmonic orchestra of Luxemburg, National Orchestra of Turkey, Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá (Colombia), México, National Orquestra of Ireland, Zurcher Symphoniker, and National Symphony Orchestra of Buenos Aires (Argentina) for the concerts season 1997, 1998, and 1999.Special Award 1999, Argentine Association of Critics, declare him the best musician of the year. |
