Artist History
I began playing the guitar at age eight with classical lessons. I began playing rock at age 9, and later went on to dabble in jazz and other rock and fusion styles in my late teens. I played in high school jazz bands and toured through Canada, Florida, California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada. I decided I wanted to go on to study music in college so in 1997 I began my guitar studies at CSU Chico under the tutelage of guitarists Charlie Robinson and Warren Haskell, as well as jazz saxophonist Charles Haynes. I have attended many wonderufl master classes with top performers in jazz and classical/fingerstyle and have performed in Northern California with Don Ross, Michael Wolff, Poncho Sanchez, Jack DeJohnette and others. I also recently recorded for Disney, and Limp Bizkit's DJ Lethal. I currently make my living performing as a sideman and solo, as well as having my own private teaching studio. I am also currently in progress with an M.M. in Studio/Jazz Guitar from USC. My goals are to continue my constant performance and study at a larger level with wider audiences, more travelling, and bigger artists. |
