Artist History
The band was formed somewhen in 1998, when Jô started to gather all the members. In this short period, the band has been acclaimed for its originality and breakthrough style. They have composed the soundtrack of a local play, as well as performing at the closure of the acclaimed Curitiba Theater Festival, as their premier. In July, 1999, they released their first independent EP - AMBÍGUAS SÃO AS LÍNGUAS.In April,2000, they performed at the TV show called MUSIKAOS, followed by the recognition of several people from all over Brazil, praising their innovative music style.In August, 2000, among 1500 other bands, Mamelucos Orbitais won an MP3 contest, and as an award, they are taking part of an compilation of the Brazilian recording company TRAMA (the Brazilian representative of the American label MATADOR).They have played in several parts of Brazil and at the moment they are preparing their first video clip as well as a fresh songs. |
