Artist History
Paul moved to Merseyside to become part of the regions's great musical tradition. He recruited Keith (rhythm guitar), John (bass), Emlyn (lead guitar) and (after much difficulty!) Andy on drums. Rather surreally, the band's first rehearsals were in a church. The atmosphere was fun, but the arrangement wasn't practical. The band moved to a makeshift recording studio, laying down a demo CD, before finally obtaining a dedicated rehearsal room with 24-hour access. With this new flexibility, the band stepped up the rehearsal time, and tightened up its live set. The CD proved a good investment - a raft of gigs were offered, at venues such as the Lomax, the Picket, the world-famous(!!) Cavern, the Victoria Hotel, and several pubs. The boys have even had a mini-tour of Wales.Thanks to everyone who has supported us - check the gig listings and your local press regularly, and we'll see you there!ICE. |

Group Members
Paul Foxall - lead vocals. Paul started singing in 1995 when Britpop was all the rage, and names 'The Drugs Don't Work' by the Verve as a particular inspiration. Paul moved from Redditch to Merseyside specifically to form a band.Emlyn Franks - lead guitar and vocals. Emlyn won his first talent show at eight years old, playing 'Apache' by the Shadows. He played in a variety of school and local bands, most recently 'Jonah', before joining Inner City Element.John Moriarty - bass, vocals. John cites a variety of influences including jazz and classical in his playing - in fact his first instruments are clarinet and saxophone. He has gigged with various bands in Liverpool, Oxford and London.Keith Douglas - rhythm and acoustic guitar. Keith took up the guitar after receiving one as a gift. Rounding out ICE's sound, Keith is the only other original member of Paul's original pre-ICE lineup.Andy Gleeson - drums. Andy has long been an able lead guitar player, but switched to drums a year ago. Andy joined ICE at a very difficult time for the band, and the boys haven't looked back since. |
