    Artist History
Inanimate first began to take shape in November 1998, With Alex French and Sam Burden visiting the Hampton School Rock Night. Ollie was playing a gig with his former band, and was seen and asked to join Bad Year (later re-named Inanimate). The original line - up was Sam Lew on vocals, and Alex French on bass. This was later changed to the current line up that you see above. With this line up, the band have gone far, with numerous tracks played, and a live set on Thames FM (107.8fm), and an apearance on a BBC1 documentary titled "The Real Kevins" which was aired on BBC1 at 9:30pm on Thursday 20th April 2000. The programme is about 4 teenagers, one of which Ollie was chosen. The section on Ollie contains footage of the band rehursing before their February 2000 Heathem House gig, and during it.The bands' songs "Sick" and "Fire Lighter" were used in the title sequence to the programme, and with live performances of such tracks as "Do You Understand?", "Fire Lighter", "Sleep Around My Love" and "Earache" included throughout the programme from the bands' rehursal studio to their Gig at Heathem House on the night. The bands' indevidual sequence was around 40 minutes long. After taking a break from mid 2000 to early 2001, the band have recruited a second Guitarist, Simon. They have been writing bigger and better songs with him, none of which (we regret) have been recorded as of yet and cannot be downloaded from MP3.com.
