Artist History
Grit has played many venues; The Ringside Café, The Keynote Club, Club Panama, and Area 51 (Springfield, OH), Woodshock 1999, 2000, 2001, The Blue Cat, (Bellefontaine, OH) Ronapalooza, Twisters Ned's Roadhouse, and W.O. Wrights (Dayton, OH), The Triangle (Greenville, OH), The Alrosa Villa, High Five, Fat Jacks, and Breezers (Columbus, OH), Rosie's Roadhouse (Marion, OH), The Warehouse (Richmond, IN), and The Penny Arcade (Rochester, NY), plus many parties and benefit shows.
Among the live shows, Grit has played with many bands, i.e. Mushroomhead, Flaw, MJ-12, Destracore, 5 People, Hateseed, Lure (Oklahoma City, OK,), Shovelhead, Knee Deep, Regret, Shelflyfe (Rochester, NY) Workhorse, Monkeynut, DR X, Jerry's Kids, Postergod, Outshined, Cringe, Poundsalt, Vile, Tongue n Groove, etc. It is known that when Grit performs in a club they get the majority of the crowd up out of their seats.
Grit recorded their first album, (Deceived,) in the summer of 1997. Band budget only allowed for 500 copies to be produced and they were all sold within 1.5 months. Grit is currently in the studio recording their next EP "Authority Figure".
Grit has a style all their own, an attitude all their own, and a love for what keeps America living… Music!
