Artist History
Summer 1989 - Crash Alley is born & puts together an album worth of originals along with an exciting live show. January 1990 - The debut album is released & receives rave reviews from several publications including Kerrang! magazine. The band plays six nights a week across the country building a loyal following of hard rock fanatics. September 1991 - The recording of the 2nd Crash Alley album LOUD 'N' UGLY debuts a new rhythm section but a greedy & apparently tone-deaf studio makes it impossible for release to the public. October 1991 thru February 1992 - The band heads for a Wisconsin studio to repair the damage to LOUD 'N' UGLY & while there are inspired to write & record four additional "lost" songs that send the band hurtling forward into a new & exciting direction. The songs "Cherry Lane" and "Too Much Attitude" manage to attract the attention of several record labels and land the band a major label showcase with Atlantic Records. January 1993 - The LOUD 'N' UGLY album is released and the relentless, non-stop touring continues. May 1995 - The band evolves into an industrial, melodic power groove machine with the addition of a new rhythm section and the release of the adventurous and experimental SWAG album. April 1996 - The band calls it quits due to the financial hardships of the club scene, record label disinterest in heavy music, health reasons & all of the other petty crap that most bands that eat, sleep, travel, drink and play together 52 weeks a year for many years break up over!! |
