Artist description Two brothers and a crazy man. That’s The Eggnogs. Iowa’s newest punk rock sensations. When I say punk rock, I don’t mean Green Day and The Offspring. I mean an extremely volatile mix of the alt-pop of the Pixies, the massive dirge of The Melvins, and the insane stage show of bands such as The New Duncan Imperials or The Dead Kennedy’s. These are some heavy names to be dropping for such a young band, but they have the musical balls to back it up. Combining tight pop hooks, and a twisted sense of humor, The Eggnogs have a high energy live show, and potent rock brew that is sure to tickle you from head to toe, then beat you over the head with some of the loudest dirge around. Artist History The Eggnogs are made up of the brothers Bolinger rhythm section (Jason-Drums, Josh-Bass) and guitarist\lead vocalist Sam Locke. The Bolingers are musical veterans playing in bands for almost 10 years, with Sam being the energy behind the band at the tender age of 18. Together for almost 1 year now, the band has sold out of 4 self-released singles packages, and has just finished recording it’s first full-length album in the friendly confines of Red Tape Studios in Cedar Rapids, IA.
