Artist History
Swagger began as a 3 piece back in the summer of '98. At that time they were known as Lucky 13. Consisting of Darren(bass/vocals), Nick(guitar/vocal), and Mark(drums). They played their first show at McCabe's music shop. With their catchy punk/pop style, they attractd a few diehard fans. A few months later they changed their name to Relapse and played a battle of the bands at Notre Dame Academy. To this day, that was their worst performance ever. A few months later they changed their name again to 52-pickup and headed for Hollywood where they shot a commercial for Unionbay clothing. They played the Whisky and KeyClub and other venues. They decided one day that they should add another guitar player. So they met some kid named Andy. He joined and now they were complete. A couple months later they decided to change their name yet again because there were already 345845.234 52-pickups on this planet. They changed their name to Swagger. They hoped to keep this one for long time. Time past and by winter/sring of 2001 things started to blow up for them. Differences in opinion let to the departure of Andy in late March. Swagger quickly recruted Tony Taylor of Kwikdraw. 2 days after practicing with Tony, they played the Whisky and blew people away. They sounded better than ever. So be sure to stay tuned because Swagger is probably on their way to take over your town. |
