Artist History
The Substitutes were born in 1996 to Don Hoxie and Dean Prescott. An acoustic baby up until it's vital youth, The Substitutes have now matured and grown into adulthood as an
electric warrior. Matthew Clark, a drummer buddy came along for the ride in the spring of 2002. Happily playing over 100 gigs a year at various haunts and habitats in Central Oregon, this triple triad of
of tea drinkers are considered the hardest working band in Central Oregon. They play updated versions of many favorite tunes by such acts as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, CCR, Train, Sugar Ray and others heard on the radio from the 1950's through 2002 as well as their own compositions. They are, to say the least, plagued by uniqueness and a versatile rock show that can rattle a cage or pacify with an elatius charm. |
