Artist History
Kalpana was started in 1998 when myself and Prashant Prasad began hammering out electronic music on our computers in our spare time. Several months later, 60 copies of the demo disc "Dense Imagery For the Mind" was self-released to friends and labels. WE Records took notice and released the track "Rosebud Sneeze" on Please Rewind and Play Again II. Following several other compilation appearances, Prashant Prasad moved home to India, but remains an integral part of the music by contributing via the internet. My brother, Mike Such, has joined the ranks within the last year or so to sharpen his music writing chops. Rob Barron, who has done the engineering on vocal tracks, has contributed guitar parts to several songs. |
