Artist History
I grew up in Atlanta, Ga., and started playing the
piano in the first grade. Up until the sixth grade
I tried many different instruments to round out my
interests. At age 12 I decided to play rock and
picked up the guitar. From that point in my life
I dreamed of being a superstar. I played in many
different bands in high school and found my
songwriting abilities. After high school I tried
my hand at music buisiness college at Belmont
University in Nashville. This didn't work out
because all I wanted to do was play music, and
buisness seemed so time consuming.(mistake!)
I returned to Atlanta and joined a
band called Slacks by Farah. This was a great
band, and we meshed well together. We played all
the major clubs in town ( The Roxy, The Masquerade,
The Cotton Club, etc.). Unfortunately, internal
conflicts were to much to handle, so it dissolved.
Opportunity was knocking, though, and I joined an
female artist's group soon after. This was a
great opportunity. Great music,
great connections. But after 5 years
and no interest from the connections.
I had to find the goal I originally set out for.
I am now working on my dream,
and am pretty damn pleased
with myself. The future holds what the past cannot
imagine. |
