Artist History
Started in 1996 as Vivisection, the name was soon viewed as a poor representation of the sound and substance being created, inspiring the change to Coronach, a gaelic word roughly meaning a song of death. The band does not soley concentrate on any cultural or historical matters, however, refusing to be pigeon-holed into a categorial purgatory with the 10,000 other one-subject, one-sound metal bands. In Fall 2000, the band released it's first cd, The Gift of Foresight, on Splatter Tribe Records,a new underground and extreme music label out of their home state of Kentucky. |
