Press Reviews
See above description and full articles at our website below. "All the way from St. Louis, Stillwater are the sort of band that you could really get wrapped up in. They play their own kind of music, a dirty riffin' country howl combined with a grunge-core state of mind which works equally well when they're kicking it out or slowing things down. There's definitely a feeling going around at the moments that a lot of the newer alternative country acts are becoming more and more difficult to tell apart. No problem with this band. [Their album] State Line is a confident, no nonsense rebuff to all who doubt the genre's credibility. When things begin to stagnate, it takes a band like Stillwater to take things up (or down) another level. If you've ever wondered what the Jayhawks might have sounded like had their inspiration been Green period REM and Mudhoney's first, the Stillwater may well make your weekend. Buy and Enjoy!
