NEUROPLAGUE : Alter - Probably the best aggro-industrial I've ever heard from New York. It's good to know that there is a decent band from that area. Neuroplague reminds me of a more sophisticated, more synth oriented 16Volt. Very catchy string and choir melodies contrasted by razor sharp guitar and unique beats. If you're into Ministry, 16 Volt, or FLA's Millenium, then get off your ass and grab this CD! - Deadwyre Magazine "Neuroplague infuses elements of the old-school of audio warfare into their heavy Electro sound... the band has created a thick and muddy post-industrial anecdote to the genre's chief sickness: monotony. With a style reminiscent of Front Line Assembly's Caustic grip heyday, the metro-based quintet has enraptured a city full of Rivet Heads...With a searing live show that's drawn the band fans from even the most unlikely of places, and a showcase appearance already scheduled for this fall's College Music Journal Convention, Neuroplague is a name Aggro-Tech fans will be hearing often in the immediate future... one listen to the group's debut CD, Alter, is all it takes to see that Neuroplague is a band on the rise."-Interface "Neuroplague fit into the NYC axis somewhere in between Terminal Sect and Chemlab, combining the aggressive high energy antics of Chemlab with the sprawling programming and growling distorted vox of Terminal Sect (and of course Skinny Puppy before them)...First rate electro-industrial."-DAMN! "Neuroplague reaches through the depths of the electro-mechanical psyche... Alter, by far, is more than a depiction of a band trying to show what they can do- it is a definite indication that craft still exists in song writing... a perfect mixture of guitars, dark-mechanical electronics, stealthy samples along with intense voc als, and a live rhythm section! Alter has a heavy emphasis on the electro much like Ministry circa Twitch, Blok 57, and even Skinny Puppy's Perpetual Intercourse days. The music that Neuroplague produces is inviting, exciting, and full of rich conflicting passages guaranteeing no disappointment from listeners."-Outburn "Neuroplague gives as much attention to the lyrics as to the grinding industrial noise surrounding them. This combination puts Neuroplague head and shoulders above the genre- (four stars)"-Musician's Exchange n
