Artist History
When one thinks of music in the Georgia Mountains, what usually comes
to mind is old-time country music and gospel songs. Played on a flat-top
guitar, fiddle, banjo, dobro, and the occasional dulcimer, by bearded men
in overalls on front porches and at autumn festivals.
If you know where to look in Blue Ridge, Georgia - just below the dam in
the bend on the Toccoa river, you will find music that combines Texas and
Chicago blues, Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller big band sounds, a little
bit of jazz and a whole lot of Rock and Roll fused together! |
