Artist description
Too mellow for a bunch o' young 'uns: lots of vocal harmony and acoustic textures, but we're a rock band at heart. Not bad for a trio of high-schoolers left alone in a studio, eh? |
 |
Music Style
Rock, with some Roll every now 'n' again. |
 |
Musical Influences
Goodness, who to list...?! How 'bout Tom Petty, Chuck Berry, The Samples (they inspire Stu, anyway), and maybe Paul Simon...? |
 |
Similar Artists
Ourselves (we hope!)...but I'll mention the likes of Tom Petty, Steve Miller, the Eagles, and Twisted Sister (whom we sound nothing like) just to help the search engines out... No promises, though. |

Artist History
Knogahyde is a broken-up bunch of high-school-friends-gone-separate-ways who opened a site up on MP3.com to meet requirements for a site-sponsored Tom Petty contest. Briefly "Knogatone," the largely-defunct band has, upon the cold realization that they did not win the contest (although, of course, they should have...), uploaded their entire catalog in order to release a cumulative CD; unfortunately, our "extensive" body of work wouldn't fit onto one CD, so we had to make two, but they're cheap; so support some starving, not-really-together-anymore musicians and buy a disc, drop us a line, download some stuff, or tell a friend to do the same...and thanks for cruising on in![This site is maintained (if you can call it that) by one of the members who is curious to see just what a band that has been broken up for a couple o' years can accomplish on the internet...] |
