Artist History From a 3 piece pop-punk band called In Effigy in 1997, Failsafe quickly grew, adding a trumpet and trombone for a horn section and gaining the ever impressive Crystal on vocals. Promptly thereafter, the band lost its horn section and bass player to various colleges. Undaunted, they rebounded quickly by picking up new sax, trombone, and bass players, as well as a name change to Failsafe.
