Artist description
It is because of each member's musical diversity that 5SS has been able to incorporate many styles and elements into their music. Their liveperformance appeals to many difference musical tastes and age groups, drawing on elements of modern and alternative rock and combining it with manyworld music elements, utilizing such instruments as the mountain dulcimer, djembe, various percussion instruments, as well as more conventionalrock-oriented instruments. See 5SS live is a great experience. Their music, coupled with a highly energetic stage presentation and great crowdinteraction, makes them formidable both onstage and in the studio. One thing that sets them apart from many bands is that they take time after theirshows to interact and talk with te audience members. The members of 5SS feel that one of the most important aspects of their ministry is to be ableto connect with their audience. |

Artist History
5SS (Five Smooth Stones) is a quintet formed in 1995 by Jon Fawcett and Scott Cole. Since then, Chris Fawcett, Scott Semmelroth, and Trista Carrhave joined the band to complete a team of musicians with very diverse musical backgrounds. The name originated in I Samuel 17:40 when David pickedup five smooth stones out of the stream to fight (and slay) Goliath. This illustrates the band's attitude: through humility, trust, and guidancefrom the Lord, one can accomplish anything. |
