Artist History The Extras started out a three-man band and was formed in Linköping in the fall of 1997 by Henrik, Daniel and Nils. After playing together for 6 months Staffan joined the band, subsequently giving them a new lead guitarist and backing vocals. During the first couple of years they mainly played local venues and made demo recordings. In 2002, in connection with recording their demo "Before too late", they were given the opportunity to participate, with the songs "Breaking out" and "Now I do", in the Swedish film "Hundtricket - the movie", later to become a huge box-office hit. At the same time as the film was released in Sweden, websites across the world started to acknowledge the band, rendering them a No:1 place at Garageband.com's Alternative chart and two finals at MakeAStar.com. In the beginning of 2003 Stefan finally joined the band, completing the sound they've long strived for.
