Artist History Rot in Pieces was from Hull, Quebec, Canada and played bastard musick that we used to call SHREDCORE : a mix of Grind/Death/Crust/Mathcore... Rot in Pieces was originally formed in March 1999 by DEZ (vocals/ex-guitarist). The first two years consisted mainly in composing. That was due to the monthly line-up changes... Later, in year 2001, NICK, our bassist, joined ''the so called band'' (joined DEZ, lets say, huhu). Before the Summer, we found ITS, another grindfreak, to play drums. Then, DEZ decided to stop playing guitar to do only vocals (but still composes musick)... So, we were even 6 sometimes; 2 basses (when an old member, FRANCIS, came back...) & 2 guitars (JÉRÔME and sometimes JASS). It was pretty destructive... especially for the ears! The 2 guitarists & the second bassist all left the band and DEZ had to came back on guitar as usual... Until VIL came along in February 2002. A month later, we started doing gigs... The same year, we recorded a never to be released demo and released a CD split with Hypoptalasias. The end happened in summer 2003. The last show was at Quebec Metal Fest, on August 2nd. The 7'' split with Agathocles is our last release (recorded even after the end of the band). Rot in Pieces a été formé originallement en mars 1999 par DEZ (voix/ex-guitariste). Les deux premières années consistaient surtout à composer. Cela avait pour cause les changements de membres mensuels... Plus tard, au début 2001, NICK, notre bassiste, s'est joint ''au supposé band'' (à DEZ, disons, huhu)... Avant l'été, on a trouvé ITS, un autre trippeux de Grind, pour jouer du drums. DEZ à décidé de délaisser la guitare pour se concentrer sur la voix (en continuant quand même a composer de la musique). Donc, parfois on était même jusqu'à 6 ; 2 basses (quand un ancient membre, FRANCIS, est revenu) et 2 guitares (JÉRÔME et JASS des fois). Ça défonçait pas mal... surtout les oreilles! Les 2 guitaristes et le second bassiste partirent tous et DEZ repris la guitare comme avant... Jusqu'à ce que VIL se joigne à nous en Févirier 2002. Un mois plus tard, on a commencer à faire des shows... La même année, on a enregistré un démo qui ne sortira jamais et on a sorti un split CD avec Hypoptalasias. La fin arriva en été 2003. Le dernier show fut au Metalfest de Québec, le 2 Août. Le split 7'' avec Agathocles est notre dernière sortie (même enregistré après la fin du groupe).
