His songs betray his early influences, ranging from everyman epics ala Springsteen and Mellencamp, to quirky upbeat tunes reminiscent of Matthew Sweet, to old fashioned blues. His strength lies in his ability to bring his emotion to the fore in his writing, both lyrically and musically. If you see him out on the town, buy him a beer.
