Press Reviews
Ok...I've had a chance to give the material and demo some attention.
You are obviously talented individuals, in saying that "hard rock" isn't my
field of expertise and a genre I normally work with, therefore I asked a
number of associated producers and engineers to give their "10 cents"
worth - the answers are candid, but honest, from successful professionals.
We believe "Too Late Now" to be the pick of the bunch, however felt that
"The Screamer", whilst an interest piece seemed to just miss it's mark....it
just sounded too contrived and strained...and the piece lacked lyrical flow
and the orchestral feel that the preamble stated - with more development,
work and further arrangement it could be a winner.
Which brings me to "Battlelines"....hmmm...reasonable composition, perhaps a
little predictable but very professional however the lyrics...what's with
the war pre-occupation..I was a former military officer who served with the
UN in the Middle East and Central Africa...and I can say it did it for
me...and the German market...rule of thumb...they are still very sensitive
about any sort of "armed conflict" and commonly regard any soldier as a
"murdering thug"....including their own...and yes most of them can speak
English. In saying all that it would make a great music video...or I can
even imagine it as part of a movie sound track.
"Star Sign" was regarded as a kick-ass, slick rock anthem....another winner
The concensus was a big "thumbs up" for the recording production - it was
well mixed, crisp, clear, and balanced - your engineer \ producers
displayed a very good understanding of what you, as a band unit, were trying
to achieve.
The overall verdict...."go you rockin' things!
