Artist History It all started a beautiful winter morning in 1980, Paul was born. 3 months later (1st of April) another Lunatic entered this world. He was given the name Jonathan. Growing up in a musical family he was forced to play classical piano every day. Paul also started with music at an early age. Drum and Beats was Paul's passion. They met for the first time in school at 1987. But not until they both were nine did they start to playing together. Jonathan on keyboard and Paul on drums, there was also a female singer involved by the name Jessica. They played what is called "fjant-pop" in Sweden. In 1991 Jonathan and Paul stayed up late one night watching television. What they saw that night would change them forever. A live performance by Nirvana. - "What the heck are we doing", Jonathan said, we should be playing like these guys. And so they did, for 4 years. In 1995 Jonathan went to his first Rave. At the next Rave, Paul joined him. Raveing Lunatics project was born. Jonathan and Paul were both spellbound by electronic music and turned their computers into Fast Tracking Rave-machines. They explored other styles too, like Drum & Bass, Trance, Ambient and Hardcore. In 1997 they finally finished 17 tracks and their first album "Space Tripper" was ready. In 1998 Jonathan and Paul went different ways and explored different styles. Jonathan and Paul decided to put up "Space Tripper" on mp3.com in October 1999. What they hadn't expected was they huge response and listeners from all parts of the world. Raveing Lunatics was back on track and started a new album. With a completely unique style and sound Raveing Lunatics new album "A New Age" was ready. In June 2000 Raveing Lunatics was offered lots of different record-deals. They finnaly signed with the Canadian record-company Nettwerk. Since then they've been working on a new album and a new freash style. The album will be released in September 2001.
