Artist History
In 1991 Rock is the first song to be performed in public. It is also the opener of the 1993 album Graduation and still is a regular at concerts. The album is a collection of accompanied letters and social/political statements which turned out to be the usual mixture for the next decade. In 1994 The Plug records another album containing 13 songs. In the first sessions of Greetings From The Exile the songs are recorded in an acoustic version with only the piano and vocals. But the experience of listening to The Plug unplugged is a privilege of the concert audience. Thus all songs are recorded again in full versions adding a bass and drums. |

Instruments
On the albums the songs are recorded with vocals, piano, bass and drums/percussion plus some occasional instruments such as organ, guitar, strings, saxes etc. At the concerts The Plug usually performs alone at the piano or acoustic guitar with a harp and occasional guest musicians for backing guitars or solo instruments. |

Press Reviews
With Greetings recorded, The Plug contacts some major music labels for a record contract. This process takes some time which prevents the album from being released. John Hammond of Columbia Records said: "I have seen the future of Rock'nRoll. And it's name is..." But he said so more than 20 years ago and not about The Plug. The big bosses never take the chance of a live performance. |
