    Artist History
Robert began studying guitar at 8 years old and began playing professionally at 16 -- as soon as he was able to drive himself to gigs. His early influences included Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix & Miles Davis. At this early he invested in recording equipment and began to compose and record his own songs. Robert attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston where he studied composition and met many of the musicians he still works with today. While in Boston he produced and performed with prominent local acts including Yes Sir No Sir, Thieves and Lovers, and Certain Circle who won the Phoenix Readers’ Poll for Best Band in Boston. Robert has also worked as a session player for Englebert Humperdink and the Aircraft Music Library utilized by most major production studios. Now residing in Nashville, Robert has focused his efforts on his own music and spends most of his time in the studio honing his producing, composing, and guitar skills. His debut instrumental CD “Stirred” combines various elements of the music that inspired him over the years.

Jennifer Layton - Indie-Music.com Nashville guitarist Robert Condon has recorded the soundtrack of nature. “Stirred” is a beautiful collection of instrumental music he co-wrote and recorded with production partner and keyboardist John Marsden. The natural world breathes through this music. It’s world music touched by jazz, blues, and the occasional Latin beat.Condon’s guitar and Marsden’s piano sing beautifully together, especially in “So Divine” and “Thieves & Lovers.” Often, the guitar breaks away and just sings the melody on its own. In “Would You Fall,” I feel like I’m listening to a vocalist. The music is alive.I folded open the CD cover and propped it up in front of me as I listened. Inside are photos of the desert, and I felt like I was there when I listened to “Desert Song.” That track has a heat to it, and I could imagine small animals scurrying across the sand. In “Without a Sound,” which is whispered music with a gentle, romantic feel to it, I heard a breeze blowing through the song and tried to figure out what instrument was making that sound. I think it’s a drum cymbal. Whatever it is, it adds a mysterious quality. My favorite tracks are the playful ones. “Olivia” is a standout. With its playful, innocent feel and Latin flavor, this one dances under the sun. And closing out the CD with the traditional “Greensleeves” is a nice touch.
