Dubbed "Carpe DM" (in questionable taste), this custom app provided a musician-friendly interface for the arrangement and production of studio-quality music in real-time. Suddenly this mysterious figure represented the next step in the evolution of the DJ -- the "Technomancer." On stage with only a laptop, a mixer, and the odd MIDI controller, PIr8_x was no longer merely mixing tunes, he was composing interactively. Performer, composer, mixer, and conductor, the Technomancer could respond dynamically to the dancers' mood, weaving tapestries of sound until they could no longer conceive of a world outside these varied textures...
