Artist History The Shiny Pines started in a tiny countrytown in west Sweden, early 1998, by Tomas Aspenskog, Jonas Andrén, Christian Svensson and Frida Appelqvist. Tomas had already, together with Christan, played in the band Wide. The new band, The Shiny Pines, were only supposed to record a demo CD and then disappear. But after "Ironman" the band were set eyes on and the gigs started to appear. They played around their county and found out that they did not sound like anyone else. In May, 2000, Peter Svensson arrived to Sweden after one year in Durango, CO. He joined the band as the "electronic man". This developed into " the Shiny Pines sound". With new material they once more entered the studio to make the Honolulu Bay single with two other songs, Country Side and Tomorrow. Now, 2001, the Shiny Pines are making songs that will unit people all over the world.Then…Why don't be among the once how can say, "I listened to the Shiny Pines way before they got big"
