Artist History From the moment they take the stage to the final sweat-drenched chord of the night, The Redstripes are one of the greatest rock n roll bands on the planet. The Redstripes have been together for over a year, and have managed to cover quite a bit of ground in that short time. Their sound has matured from relatively quiet folk-rock to full on bombastic pop-rock and their live show is nothing short of exhilarating. Playing mainly in the Windsor area, The Redstripes have opened for the likes of Tricky Woo, The Two Minute Miracles, The Frenetics, and Clover Honey, as well as headlining their fair share of gigs. The Stripes are even planning their third tour in support of their upcoming split 7 inch with Modern Soul Records The Low Tones. The two Stripes met in 1995 and have been playing in various bands with and without each ever since. The formation of The Redstripes marks the first time in the last four years that both members have lived in the same city and are able to make music their number one priority. Their current sound has gotten them compared to the likes of Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, The Kinks, Sloan and Weezer. Their music has been featured on CBCs Radio Escapade program, RadioKaos The Eh Team program (live webcast) and gotten a lot of play on various campus radio stations. The Redstripes have one objective, and that is to rock you. They put everything they have into their performances and like nothing more than playing to appreciative audiences.
