    Artist description
"Rock n Roll, No Additives, No Preservatives, %100 Genuine Kick A$$".This is the way the music has been described to us from some of our fans perspective. We feel that this motto accurately portrays the simple message of music we are trying to bring to the people of Sacramento. Simple, I think that says it all! When you have put in your time at the office and its time to relax and enjoy the weekend, we think you will be turning to Walking Tall for your entertainment. When you go to a night club for some entertainment, you also don't want to be bored to tears by the so called "Entertainment" for the evening. We combine the element of "Good Old Fashioned Fun" and "Hook Laden Songs" that make you want to get up out of your seat and dance. We try to bring the party environment to every show we play. That may seem a bit simplified for those of you who want to be burdened with long explanations about music, but that's all there is to it. Bands have forgotten how to entertain and how to write songs that make you want to sing. We hope you will enjoy our music and our attitude of enjoying life and the simple things it has to offer. Walking Tall will be there to enjoy them with you.

    Artist History
Walking Tall has re-united to deliver more of the straight ahead Rock-n-Roll that seems to be missing from Sacramento Music Scene. Things in the City are starting to look the same, and unfortunately, that normally means things are sounding the same too. Walking Tall aims to change the way you think about music. "We plan to write songs that make people feel good, we are not interested in any other types of music that don't" claims vocalist Jimmy Tuttle. Mark Miner adds " Music doesn't need a label? If it feels good, it probably is good". Walking tall will be showcasing the straight ahead Rock-n-Roll music on an up-coming CD and will also be bringing their fresh sounds to the people of Northern California in early 2001. The band plans to pump adrenaline back into the heart of Rock music and put the "E" back in the word "Entertainment".Walking Tall Plays music that could probably be put into the classification of "Classic Rock" but with a fresh new twist and a heart all its own. Walking Tall was formed in 1998 By Mark Miner, Jim Tuttle, Curt Cassell, and Bill Rumsey. The band went on to play clubs all over Northern California and garnered a strong local following. Walking Tall spent a great deal of time writing and recording in several studios around the City of Sacramento before deciding to work with Producer Frank Hannon. This partnership added the necessary ingredients to the songs and also brought in some wisdom from a multi-platinum artist. The collaboration produced 8 songs and another 10 that are currently in pre-production to be recorded for the bands upcoming debut CD tentatively entitled "Walking Tall Volume 1". The band has been rehearsing the last few months as well as writing and keeping the creative juices flowing for the CD. The band has also added a few covers (20 or so) to its play list to broaden the scope of the bands audience. Walking Tall will be performing throughout the area of Northern California in the early months of 2001, we hope to see you there. Don't expect a change in the music, we are still playing music that can be called " RocknRoll". If your looking for great Rock-n-Roll entertainment that make you feel good, this is the band for you!. What's happening? Keep checking the sites for late breaking news and activities. Don't forget to sign-up for the bands mailing list so we can keep everyone updated on the up-coming events. Please drop us a note and we will also post local parties, gatherings and events to the Walking Tall bulletin board of events. We will eventually have a posting site up for everyone to add their own events on their own. Thanks for stopping by

The members of Walking Tall have decided to put their efforts together and re-unite to record a collection of songs that they have written over the past two years. The band was playing around the Sacramento area night clubs in the summer of 1998 when vocalist Jimmy Tuttle left the band to focus on songwriting. The members of Walking Tall continued on for a while with another vocalist and continued to play clubs and write. After a few gigs, the new vocalist left to pursue his career with another act. The band took six months off to write and explore their options. Mark Miner and Curt Cassell decided to hook up again with long time friend and vocalist Jimmy Tuttle and bassist Bill Rumsey. After just one rehearsal, the band knew there was something special going on and decided to re-unite. The band has been holed up at vocalist Jimmy Tuttle's home working on new songs as well as recording some new ideas and laying down tracks in pre-production before entering the studio to finish the studio CD that was began with producer and long time friend Frank Hannon. Through the rest of the year, Walking Tall will be working on new songs to add to the CD, and concentrating on pre-production of the music for the studio. There have been a couple of shows that were previously booked at the Boardwalk in Orangevale and the Roadhouse in Folsom. These shows have been postponed in order to work on the music for the studio. "We intend to give our fans the best music we can possibly deliver" states Drummer Curt Cassell. The band wants to hit the scene running when we finish the CD . " We want to make sure the CD is done right, and that means that we may not be able to play live, but we think it will be worth the wait!" add singer Jimmy Tuttle. The band seems very excited about the re-union and appears to primed to bring some quality Rock-n-Roll to the fans of Sacramento. At the time of this release, the band says they over 25 songs written and plans to trim it down to 12 for the CD. The rest of the songs may appear as downloads from the site and possibly some un-released songs that are not played as part of the life shows
