Artist History
The Purple Healer was born in Plymouth, England. D.O.B 1972. Name Jeff Payne.First Played in pubs with cover bands Slingshot (1990) & Seven Sisters (1992).Played larger venues with original band Sundogs (1995). Independently released a 4 track EP called Escape. The single Family Tree, written by Jeff was released by the BBC for the Children in Need tape Bear Tracks. 4 tracks were also demo-ed but never released.Present day (2001) is fronting and writing songs with band The Haze. No releases to date.All throughout this time Jeff has continued to write songs. These have never been recorded due to full time work. He has now taken time out of work to record as many of these songs as possible. These will be released via the Internet under the alias, The Purple Healer. |
