Artist History
In 1992, my wife Alice and I gave ourselves a trip to Scotland to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We toured the Highlands, Orkney, the Lochs, and Skye, as well as Edinburgh and Glasgow. In the process, I discovered Scottish music, and single-malt Scotch whisky. I've been singing ever since, though we're not sure which of these to attribute it to. :-)For several years, I sang Scottish and Irish songs in the shower. After awhile, I began to notice that there aren't very many folks in there with whom to share the music (your showers may differ :-). Noticing also that I wasn't getting any younger, I decided in 1998 to get working on Celtic music in a serious way. From the shower to performing musician is a long road. Even if your idea of an audience is seven folks standing in the mud at a Scottish festival. I'm only a little way along this road, but I hope you'll enjoy the music. |
