Artist description
Lizzie Wann is an award-winning poet from San Diego. A member of the 1999 Laguna Beach Slam Team that competed in the NationalSlams held in Chicago in August, 1999, Lizzie mixes the elements ofperformance with the elements of the power in the written word. Her work has been published in journals such as 51%, Sheila-na-Gig and City Works. She's self-published two chapbooks, Familiars and Naked Wrists, and her 3rd chapbook, Complicated Skies, was published by The Inevitable Press in LagunaBeach in 1999. In September, 2000, she released her first CD entitled "A Wing & A Prayer," a hybrid work mixing music and 17 of her original poems. |
