    Artist description
Green Dream started as a flowerpowerrock'n'punkband in 1990. After five years of rehearsing, performing, writing songs and making demo cassettes the band recorded its first CD 'Sarajevo' (1995). This album contains fifteen Green Dream songs that were recorded at the Radio Transit studio by Jo Smeets. Green Dream performed many times in Holland, Germany and Belgium, and won several band contests. The album Sarajevo was played regularly on the national radio stations but that did not result in the breakthrough the band had hoped for. Green Dream had a big line up in those days: drums, bass, two electric guitars, keyboards, flute, saxophone and vocals. After touring for about a year band leader Frank Heine decided that he needed better musicians in order to make musical progress. A new line up was formed, replacing the drummer by Rene van Engeland and the bass player by Sjack Bruys, at that time already experienced musicians. After a year of rehearsing the second CD was recorded: 'India'. This mini-album contains four Green Dream songs and was recorded at the ACE Sound Recording studio in Aartselaar (Belgium) by Frank van Bogaert. The album was very well received by the press and was played on several radio stations. Green Dream had become a band that needed a big stage due to the big line up. To solve this problem the band was reduced to its core: drums, bass, guitar and two singers. After performing for about half a year in this line up a second guitar player was added to the band: Angelo Bombrini. This was the start of today’s line up. The band started growing again and the desire to make a new album was born. In April 2001 the new CD 'Ready To Go' was recorded in the band's favorite studio (ACE), again by Frank van Bogaert. It contains ten songs and it is undoubtedly the band’s best album to date. Green Dream is working hard to get a Dutch or German record company to take over the release and promotion of the album. Recently, a video clip of the song 'Ready To Go' was released as part of the ongoing promotional efforts of the band. This clip has already been shown on regional television (L1 TV). Currently the band is very busy performing live. In July 2002, the prestigious 'Euregio Premier League' was won, an international band contest. The prize was a place in the German LA Rock tour, consisting of ten shows in Nordrhein-Westfalen, which was completed in December 2002. Last year about forty shows were done in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, in places varying from bars and halls to (in- and outdoor) festivals. Meanwhile, the music and creativity continues to grow, so again plans are being made to record a fourth album. Green Dream is working harder than ever before and has become a band of true friends who all want the same things: making music and enjoying the gigs and the recording process as much as possible.
