"Between Heaven and Hell"
FIREWIND is powered by the guitar wizardry and compositional genius of 21 year old Greek guitarist Gus G. This soon to be major group also features x-Kenziner members vocalist supreme Stephen Fredrick and drummer Brian Harris. Fellow Greek Konstantine adds the bass on the band's impressive debut Cd "BETWEEN HEAVEN AND HELL."
This music features Melodic Heavy Metal done at its best. Heavy riffs, great leads, amazing powerful melodic vocals, excellent song structures and strong lyrical messages.

Artist History
Gus G has made a name for himself in very short order with appearances on Cds with Mystic Prophecy, Dream Evil, Exhumation, an earlier incarnation of Firewind and a recent solo Cd in the highly acclaimed Diginet Music Guitar Masters series. Gus sites influences such as Michael Schenker, Uli Roth, John Norum, Y. Malmsteen, Vinnie Moore etc. Gus tends to like the heavier bands as far as groups go such as; In Flames, Arch Enemy, Dan Swano, Cradle of Filth, Rotting Christ, Dimmu Borgir, Children of Bodom, Lacuna Coil and Nevermore.
The teaming up with Stephen Fredrick really was a perfect match. Producer David T. Chastain states, "The first time I heard Gus' music I knew that Stephen's voice would give the tracks that extra dimension that only Stephen's unique style would add. Stephen's work in Kenziner was universally hailed as the high point of those Cds. On the FIREWIND Cd Stephen wrote most of the lyrics and melodies and did an outstanding job. Some of the lyrics are really relevant after the attacks on September 11th."
Providing the massive drumming is the emerging new drum god Brian Harris. In the last 2 years Brian has played on Cds for Zanister, Vainglory, Kenziner and Michael Harris. He is being hailed as one of the great young drummers in metal. His performance in FIREWIND only will help cement that reputation.
Gus's long time friend bassist Konstantine provides a solid foundation that only helps heavy up the mix. Plus having a fellow band member from Greece helps even out the influences to 50% Greece and 50% USA. A combination that seems to really have merged on this release.
Every track on the Cd from first to last is high caliber. Stephen's emotive vocals over the power riffs strikes the right balance that few bands can match. Gus G's solos jump out of the speakers and smack you in the face. The two instrumentals "Northern Sky" and "Oceans" showcase 2 different sides of Gus' wide range of styles. Brian Harris never lets up the bombardment and Konstantine provides the bottom for which all else explodes.
The Cd was mixed by metal impresario Fredrik Nordstrom who has worked with some of the biggest metal acts today. (Hammerfall, Arch Enemy, In Flames, etc)
FIREWIND is a brand new band which unleashes an amazing new young guitar talent with one of the best metal vocalist in the world who combined should provide some of the absolute best Melodic Heavy Metal for years to come.
