Artist History
My love of beautiful music began at an early age. I remember when I was four years old I would put on a record of Grieg's 'Morning' and listen to it for hours. At five years of age a friend of my parents very generously paid for me to have three years of piano lessons. I studied piano and theory for the next twelve years and began to write my own piano compositions. During my final year of school I stopped my lessons to concentrate on my exams, and the break gave me a good chance to step away from conventional composition and think about my own musical ideas. In the year that I met my husband Rori he introduced me to tracking - a method of music composition using numbers and notes sorted into rows and columns. I could instantly see the possibilities available through tracking and began a steep learning curve which, a few months later, resulted in me being able to produce my first listenable piece of electronic music. From there I continued to refine my skills, drawing inspiration from scene trackers like Necros, Mick Rippon and Hunz. |
