Artist History
The Scurvy Pirates were accidentally frozen in a block of ice in 1722. Unfrozen in the year 2000 in Brooklyn to discover that the pirate trade has dried up, they make a living the only way they can, as a gimmicky indie rock band. |

Press Reviews
"Each song begins with a special introduction... as well as the sound of the sweeping sea. And although that gets tiresome halfway through the disc, their music is refreshing, humorous and fun." -Metal Rules! Magazine,
"During the Pirates' shows, the group's cultish regulars sing along and shout the punchlines to their pirate jokes and limericks, and some even eat the cabbage and limes the band hurls into the crowd--to protect them from the scurvies of course." -CMJ New Music Monthly |
