London-raised female vocalist Suki Chaney fronts a band led by Farewell to Juliet guitarist Jeff Elbel. Elbel's progressive music and Choir influences are less present than with FTJ. The band's remaining members anchor a playing unit of very high caliber. Drummer Jonathan Edwards exhibits chops shaped by the likes of Alex Acuna, Manu Katche, and Vinnie Coliutta. |

Artist History
Guitarist/songwriter Jeff Elbel and drummer Jonathan Edwards launched SDR following a brief stint sitting in with another band. Elbel's wife and vocalist Suki Chaney were classmates at school. Edwards and guitarist Lewis Richey grew up together as missionary children in South America. Bassist Steve Oberg is brother to Carl Oberg, Jeff's bandmate in the original Farewell to Juliet line-up. |
