Artist History
THE SUGAR CUBE BLUES BAND WAS 1st band that legendary producer and performer,Jim Dickinson, ever produced at Ardent Studios in musictown Memphis Tennessee. We are very proud that in his production of our original music he placed our band in the company of such great artists as the SPIN DOCTORS, BIG STAR, RY COODER,DASH RIPROCK, THE RADIATORS and THE REPLACEMENTS. He believes in and stands by the bands he produces. That gives us encouragement to keep trying to attain our goals and sustains the belief that WORLD BOOGIE IS COMING!! |

Press Reviews
BORDERLINE BOOKS: There are some good songs included, especially My Last Impression, which is very much in the garage-psych vein. Indeed the band's title is misleading as the songs aren't really bluesy at all. The material, which was all written by Bill Crowder, spans garage, psychedelia and more melodic rock and is well worth seeking out. ROCKADELIC:"The album contrasts strong sixties punk songs with haunting folk psych numbers. Once heard, ripping buzzsaw numbers like 'My Last Impression', 'Shades of Life,' and 'Run,Run,Run' will NOT be soon forgotten." |
