Artist History
When a new artist describes himself as a singer/songwriter, you quickly envision the generic picture of someone with an acoustic guitar sitting in a coffeehouse playing folk oriented music. But times have changed and so have the definitions we commonly use to depict an artist. Distinct from the stereotype of a traditional singer/songwriter, Steve Tirado's progressive and innovative big production style embraces more Pop and Dance music to complement his Adult Contemporary base.
To further throw you off the usual singer/songwriter persona, his musical and songwriting influences include artists such as, Lionel Richie, Earth Wind & Fire, and the "Philly Sound" of the 1970's whose big production and full orchestrated sounds can be found within his melodies and lyrics focused on the trials of everyday life.
In his debut release entitled, "The Boys Are Gonna Party Tonight," Steve Tirado gives us an in-depth insight into his experiences and views on life, love, and relationships. You will find yourself experiencing an enjoyable balance of songs that will make you want to dance all night, as well as shed a tear or two.
This is one CD that many will be able to relate to regardless of age or musical preference. Each original track is sure to stir up emotions about your personal experiences or someone you know. There are some CD's that you find yourself playing over and over again, don't be surprised if this is one of them. While Steve Tirado may want to describe himself as a singer/songwriter, once you feel his melodies and listen to his lyrics you will appreciate what this artist and his music are really about. Three words come to mind, creative, diverse and in-depth.

Press Reviews
Burlington County Times - March 19, 2002
"The title track, 'The Boys Are Gonna Party Tonight' could easily be a teen anthem..."
Philadelphia Daily News - April 15, 2002
"A collage of styles... The uptempo songs are dance-club oriented with a Latin flavor; The ballads walk the R&B/AC line." |
