Artist History
Originally known as Ozelle and the Otones, founded by brothers Ozelle and Werlon Funderbuck mainly as a means to attract hangers-on and groupies. Unfortunately, these were seldom present in the band's usual venue, Fish Fry Nite at the American Legion Hall in Borculo. The brothers eventually feuded bitterly about whether to change directions and cover pop hits (to get more gigs), or keep playing whatever they felt like. Ozelle left as a result, leaving only the Otones to carry on. This came at a bad time, as the Legion Hall was having All-U-Can-Eat Fried Shrimp that very nite instead of the usual cod. The band maintains this would have been their breakthrough performance. We'll never know. |
